Keep Saywork open — its Chrome helper step turns to Connected by itself when you finish.
The Chrome helper · for Saywork on Windows
Let Saywork work in your Chrome.
The Chrome helper lets Saywork read and click in the Chrome you're already signed into. It talks only to Saywork on this computer.
Do this on the computer where Saywork is installed.
Set it up once.
A few clicks in Chrome, one time. After that it just works.

Move that folder somewhere it can stay, like Documents. Chrome loads the helper from it every time, so don't delete it.

Trouble?
The usual snags, and what to do.
Chrome warns me about "developer mode extensions"
That's normal for a helper added from a folder. Close the message, or press Keep if it offers that. Don't turn the helper off.
"Load unpacked" is grey, or not there
Developer mode is off. Turn on the switch at the top right of chrome://extensions and the button appears.
Chrome says "Manifest file is missing"
That's the wrong folder — usually the one around the right one. Pick the folder that has manifest.json directly inside it. If there's a Saywork Chrome helper folder inside another one, pick the inner one.
It says Saywork is not running
Open Saywork on this computer and sign in, then click the Saywork icon in Chrome and press Connect to Saywork again.
Can it see my passwords?
No. It can't open Chrome's saved passwords. It only acts on a page when you ask Saywork to do something, and it talks only to the Saywork app on this computer.
I use Edge or Brave
It works the same. Open edge://extensions or brave://extensions instead of chrome://extensions. In Edge, the Developer mode switch is on the left.
I use Edge or Brave
Brave adds it from the Chrome Web Store just like Chrome. In Edge, press Allow extensions from other stores when it asks, then Add to Chrome.
