Run tasks on your computer from your phone, with Telegram
Send a message or a voice note on Telegram and your own computer does the job — the file sent, the email answered — then reports back. Here's how it works and how to set it up.
The file you need is on your laptop. The client wants it now. You're in a taxi. This is the moment Saywork on Telegram is for.
How it works
Connect Telegram once in the Saywork app (Integrations → Telegram). From then on, message the Saywork bot like you'd message an assistant — typed, a voice note, a photo or a file:
"Send Ahmed the signed contract from my Downloads and tell him Thursday works."
Your computer at home or in the office does the job in your own apps, signed in as you. Before it sends anything, the bot shows you exactly what will go out, with Approve and Deny buttons. Then it reports back with the result and the file.
The commands
- /status — what your computer is doing and has done.
- /stop — stop the task that's running.
- /jobs — running and recent jobs, coding jobs too.
- /new — start a fresh conversation.
- /chat — carry on your Saywork conversation here, even while your computer is off.
Your phone's browser too
On the plans that include it, you can also scan a code on the Integrations page to open Saywork in your phone's browser: start tasks on your computer, follow them, stop them, and continue one conversation across desktop, web and Telegram.
What if my computer is off?
A task needs your computer, so the bot tells you it's offline and picks the task up when it's back. Conversations in /chat can still be answered: if you turn on the optional encrypted memory copy, replies in your own private chat use it. It's off until you turn it on, and it is never used in chats with other people.
Can I control my PC from my phone with Telegram?
Yes. Connect the Saywork bot once, then send a task by text or voice note. Your Windows computer does it in your own apps and reports back in Telegram.
Will it send things without asking?
No. Anything another person would see, or that costs money, waits for your Approve in Telegram.
